Dear Fellow Republicans,

When I first ran for Kossuth Co Republican Chair, I did so because I wanted to help expand the Republican party and to unite more with independents.  We are not going to win elections with just Republican votes.  Converting independents is how the Democratic ticket prevailed in 2008.  In the 2024 election, independents aligned themselves more with the Republican party than any time since the Reagan era and helped re-elect Donald Trump.

 

Back in 2008, I was a moved to vote democrat, inspired by the words of the Democrat nominee, Barrack Obama. By the time 2012 rolled around, reality had sunk in that I had been duped. A defining moment for me, was in 2015, when Donald J Trump (DJT) walked down the escalator and announced he was going to drain the swamp and the media absolutely lost their minds. Why were career politicians and the media so fixated on taking out DJT? The more the media went insane, the more I became convinced DJT was right.

 

Fast forward to September 10th, 2025.  Sadly, the life of a great speaker, masterclass debater, free speech champion, faithful Christian, and loving husband and father, was snuffed out, in cold blood, by leftist hatred. I am sure more of this story will be unfolding over the next year. The far left has shown how ugly they really in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination.

 

If you listen to Charlie Kirk, his campus visits, and podcasts, you will see that he understood, connected with, and loved the youth of America. Charlie Kirk believed in our constitution, promoted biblical principles, and the highly valued the importance of the family. Charlie lived his faith and spoke truth.  He was genuinely kind and respectful to all, even to those who hated him.  My two children were positively influenced by listening to Charlie Kirk. The Republican party now has an opportunity to use this defining moment in history to Make America Great Again. Our party still values debate, freedom of speech, and traditional American Values. We expect our elected officials to lead with a sense of morality and ethics. This is a critical  time to make sure we elect good, moral people to lead our country forward.
 

Charlie Kirk spent his life protecting our constitution and sharing his religious beliefs. The brutal, public assassination of Charlie Kirk has done one thing. It has shown us how much the far left hates us. It has shown us that the Democrat left does not want to reason or debate.

 

Their violent and hateful actions clearly demonstrate that the left willfully operates with no sense of ethics or morals. Our constitution and our beliefs have been in jeopardy for decades. The left has continued to defy all common sense by re-defining American politics by removing religion, killing unborn babies, promoting censorship in the name of “political correctness”,  making our communities less safe by  supporting and funding illegal immigration, infesting our communities with criminals by instituting “cashless bail,” catch and release practices, defunding the police, burning our cities to the ground, redefining a woman, destroying women’s sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms, forcing mask and vaccine mandates, promoting chemical castration and genital mutilation of children, to now celebrating murder and attempting to redefine what murder means.  Liberal Marxist insanity will never stop. It will continue to devour until it has consumed everything good about what makes us American.

The battle is no longer red versus blue, conservative versus liberal.

The battle is now good versus evil.

Join us in the battle of good versus evil. We know you are busy. We all are. Step up. Speak out. Make a difference in our community. It ALL starts at the County Republican Party level. Get involved in our local Republican Party.  We won’t all agree on everything, and the Republican Party is not perfect, but we need you to join us and become involved at the grassroots of American democracy. 

 

Ways you can help: Attend a Central Committee meeting on the 4th Monday of the month.  Volunteer for events.  Attend your precinct caucus this coming February 2nd.  Volunteer as a Delegate to the County Convention. Learn the fundamentals of debate, so that your voice can be effectively heard. Volunteer as a Central Committee member. Assist with Conservative Campaigns. Be a voice. Be a voice of reason. Be a voice of faith. Make a difference.  Make America Great Again!
